SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
When you are an order picker for Metro, your role will be to:
- Prepare orders using an electric pallet truck (which you will be taught to drive!)
- Using a voice command system, select the different products that make up each order in the warehouse.
- Pack items for shipment and affix identification labels according to shipping instructions.
- Examine and verify items, note missing items, and hold damaged items.
- Unpack, code and distribute items to appropriate storage locations.
- Operating an electric pallet truck.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- You are in excellent physical condition allowing you to handle loads of up to 60 lbs
- You have good manual dexterity and good concentration skills
- You are a reliable, hard-working and above all pleasant person
- You have experience in a warehouse or with an electric pallet truck (an asset)

*Temperature varying from 0⁰C to 15⁰C, cold protection equipment provided by the company*
Salary
$18.00/hour + applicable premiums*
Evening bonus: $0.90
Night premium: $1.10

Shifts
- Daytime (6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.), Evening (2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.), Night (10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.)
- Possibility of 40h/week
- Permanent position
* The warehouse is closed for shipping operations on Saturday from 10:00 p.m. until Sunday 6:00 a.m.
** Possibility of overtime paid at time and a half.
The distribution center is accessible by public transport.
